Care & Maintenance
Washing Instructions
Rinse Immediately: As soon as possible after use, rinse the pad under cold water until the water runs clear. Hot water will set blood stains.
Soak (Optional): For stubborn stains or convenience, you can pre-soak the rinsed pads in cold water for 2-4 hours, or overnight. Avoid soaking for more than 2-3 days to prevent musty smells.
Main Wash:
Hand Wash: Gently rub the pads with mild soap, paying attention to any stained areas. Rinse thoroughly until all soap residue is gone, as this can cause irritation or reduce absorbency.
Drying and Storage
Air Dry is Best: Line dry your pads on a clothesline. Sunlight is a natural disinfectant and helps bleach any remaining stains.
Avoid High Heat: Do not tumble dry, place pads directly on a radiator, or use high heat, as this can damage the waterproof layer and other materials.
Store Properly: Once completely dry, store the clean pads in a dry, ventilated area, such as a drawer or an airing cupboard.
Important Care Tips
Change Regularly: For good hygiene, change your pad every 4-8 hours, or as needed, depending on your flow.
Proper Hygiene: Always wash your hands before handling clean pads and after handling used ones.
